Trump’s latest travel ban targets unstable and non-compliant countries
Twelve countries have been hit with a full US travel ban, effective Monday, in a sweeping new order by President Trump.
The administration cites issues like terrorism (Iran, Afghanistan), lack of passport controls (Somalia, Yemen), and high visa overstay rates (Chad, Congo-Brazzaville).
Myanmar is also accused of failing to accept deportees.
Venezuela and Cuba, among seven partially restricted nations, are criticized for uncooperative governments and similar visa concerns.
